Hey guys,
I am pretty new to the PC building scene and I recently purchased a Intel i7 4770k processor and an ASrock Z87 Extreme 3 motherboard. The power supply I have is a Corsair HX850. I plan to use my 1080p 40" Sharp television as my monitor. My question is if i plan to play next gen games on my PC instead of buying a Xbox One should I go 2 way SLI or Single Card? I only have between $300-350 left to spend on the card as it is the last piece I need for my computer.
If you would not mind recommending Cards for SLI that would be great. As for Single card I have been eyeballing this MSI Geforce 760 4gig on Newegg for a while. I was considering buying that 760 and upgrading by buying another of the same model to go SLI at a later date if the 760 would be able to handle games such as grid 2, or Bioshock Infinite.

P.S. Sorry if this is lengthy.

For that budget you can't go wrong with an AMD R9 280x. At 300 bucks you will be able to play everything at 1080p at max. You wont need more than a single high end card to run any game maxed out on your TV. Also you can look at the GTX 770, thats plenty of power, costs $400 and share blows against the AMD card.

I'm not sure why, but I've had this thing against AMD since my original PC burned up, (it had a AMD processor in it which really had nothing to do with why it burned up nor does it affect how AMD video cards preform), so I would prefer to stay Nvidia. How big of performance boost would I get out of the 770 instead of the 760? Its a $100 difference but is it really noticable? And if I decide to go SLI in the future by adding another card, would it still perform better?

Thanks so much. I have been looking for good benchmarks all night. Everywhere I look they either are testing on really old games on old cards or have such scattered results that I can not tell what I am looking at.
