Hi, i recently bought the GTX 780 FTW and one of the electrical supply cables wont fit, the 8 pin one. The plastic part fits no problem but it feels like the metal parts inside are off center on one of the connections. The other 6 pin connector works without a fuzz and i'm sure that i use enough force.
Is this a normal issue? am i simply doing it wrong?
Thanks in advance.

There are 2 different 8 pin connectors on most PSUs. One is the 8 pin PCIe connector that we all know and love, the other is an 8 pin EPS power connector for the CPU. They look similar, but the keying of the connector is different so they cannot be connected into the wrong socket. If you definitely have the 8 pin PCIe connector and it fits but simply won't mate all the way then I'd suspect that the mechanical workmanship of the GPU or PSU is at fault.

I assume that you have an EVGA GPU based on the FTW designation, but what is the make and model of your PSU?
