What CPU is better for gaming AMD FX-8320 or INTEL i5 4440??

Solution
Forget both of them. All you need for gaming is an FX-6300 for $120. The gaming experience will be the same as the two CPUs you listed. There also won't be a noticeable difference in overall system speed since Windows can run just fine on an Athlon II X2. The AMD FX-6300 is the sweet spot for pure gaming CPUs right now.

You can easily overclock FX and have better overall performance than the i5. Single threaded performance of the i5 is much better. They are pretty much the same. Most games dont support more than 4 cores so the i5 will be better.

The FX is better at recording games while you play, but keep in note if you just spend $30 over a base i5 more you can get a Xeon E3 1230 V3 if you really need the multi thread strentgh.
