Just got my cables for my new SSD - help?

So I was watching this video on how to install and SSD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox6DHlPQI-w - In case I did something wrong, and it seemed pretty simple. In the video, Linus just plugged the SSD in and removed the cable from the HDD, is it really that simple?
Basically I'm just asking if this tutorial is the right thing to do when installing my SSD.

If you are installing your os on the ssd, that's all there is to it. The purpose is to isolate the drive to insure nothing "strays" to a different drive.

Just for info, THIS is a really good tutorial for installing W7 on an ssd. Same tutorial for W8 is HERE.
