hello guys....
i m thinking to buy a new mobo ...
so which mobo you will recommend ...?
i was thinking about Asus z87 Gryphon.
1. What is difference between Gryphon and Sabertooth....?
2. will Asus Maximus VI Gene work dam good for next least 5 years....?
I will not OC least 2-3years .
I will use i5-4670k cpu...
so what you think guys which one is more reliable and will give best performance....?
and
3. which psu also you will recommend .....?
corsair TX , or seasonic with one gtx 770 gpu ...?
thanks in advance....

Solution
You might be talking an extremely slight amount, the PSU only provides the power that is needed, little to no difference running a 850 on a rig and running a 550 on the samne rig with same settings

Gene's a good mobo, not open to a lot of add ons, can compare the Gryphon and the Sabertooth side by side at the NewEgg site... 5 years depends on you and what you do as well as the rest of your components and whether or not you plan to stick with a rig and go through upgrades...If your a power user or a high end gamer, you prob won't be happy with it in maybe 2-3 years

Gryphon is basically just the micro-atx sized version of a sabertooth from what I understood, although keep in mind that I believe you have to buy the thermal armor separately for the gryphon if you want that. Basically there will be more room/ports on the sabertooth as that's what it can fit. I decided to go with the sabertooth, but both would probably be a fine choice.

They should all hopefully work good for the next 5 years, it's just that the gryphon/sabertooth are actually under warranty for that long. I have a 10+ year old dell dimension (i want to say 2400) that, while slow and annoying and still on xp, works more or less fine (so that would include the board. The TUF boards are supposedly built with durability/longevity involved while the ROG (gene) board is geared more towards performance..but regardless they should both hopefully last for a while.

Agreed, a X750 is a superb PSU and the Gryphon is a great MATX board.

yups i m a gamer. i m making this rig for playing games. i cannot upgrade anything in next 2 years. but after that i will upgrade like ssd, cpu fan to corsair h110i, currently stick with stock cooler and more ram.
so you mean i have to go with Gryphon or Sabertooth...
right..?

Depends, what is the case, if you using an M-ATX case, go for the Gryphon, regular ATX, go Sabertooth, I have had the X58 version for almost 3 years and it is running strong, looks really good as well.

c u later bro......

The evil upgrade bug landed me with the 920, which is a close second in my fav CPUs. 4.0 was a mission and then some to get to, I had a friend throw mine in his custom loop to get it there back in 08'. Now, to dig up that P45 board I left somewhere...
PS: 2666MHz DDR3 RAM, what is this, DDR4 in disguise?

I have a contact in AMD-land (sarinaide) that might be able to get some 2800 for you, at the right price, he can't get past DDR3-2300 with his A10-6800K  @OP, DDR4 will likely come in the next AMD and Intel processor generations, it will be a slow transition, and latency will\should be an abomination at first, from then (3-4 years), it will mature like DDR3 is today.
