Hi, I have a Sapphire AMD RADEON HD 6570 with two outputs, one hdmi and one DVI.
The HDMI is connected to my Samsung TV and the DVI is connected to my Onkyo AVR and then to the same TV using a DVI to HDMI adapter with audio capabilities.
I had this setup working for months until a week ago that I unplugged both hdmi cables to clean my home theater pc, now when I turn on my onkyo avr and switch from hdmi to dvi output I only have video in my onkyo but no audio as before...
it used to work fine before by using a devcon display off and display on bat file and sometimes by just turning off and on the onkyo avr in addition to the bat file, but now, no matter what I do I cant gent the audio to switch from the hdmi output to the dvi output.
I have tried lots of things without success, I guess I will have to settle by using the onboard hdmi for web surfing and the ati card for movie playback... at least I have a working option available. but the thing is why should I use on board graphics if I bought an ati card with two outputs?
by the way, using spif is not an option because I like to have True HD audio through my onkyo avr.
Any ideas on how to switch audio from one output to the other in the same ati card?
Thanks

Doesn't surprises me no answers at all as this seems to be a hard one to solve, anyhow, fortunately I got it back working, the trick is to use dvi to tv (with audio capable dongle) and hdmi to AVR, I swapped cables during clean up.... plus devcon display on and off bat.
