Hello, I finished off a new build last night and got to the bios screen however i had to go work, so this morning i went to turn my computer on so i could install windows. The computer turned on, but I noticed there was no POST. So i checked my motherboard and the VGA, CPU and DRAM lights were all flashing, as well as the q code going crazy but it is not giving any valid codes.. just rubbish letters and numbers that dont mean anything.

Already recabled, reseated cmos battery and tried running without SSD. Still the same, how can this happen over night?? It worked perfectly when I fired it up last night!

System is:
Asus z87 deluxe
i5-4670k
Corsair AX760
Corsair XMS3 4gb
CM Hyper TX3
Sandisk ultra 256gb SSD

Thanks :)

I've tried this, when I turn it on when it's being benched, it goes through a load of q codes and then stays on 00 A2 with the boot device LED on. However the vga, cpu and dram LEDs go off.

By the way the same happens when I just use 1 stick of ram

Yeah I've pressed the cmos button more times than I can remember and reseated the battery at least 5 times, with no difference.
If it's of any help, when I benched it.. it started up and then soon shut down and reset itself and then went onto the 00 A2 code

Tried a single stick in each, even borrowed a friend's ram with no changes at all.

I've sorted it, and for anyone reading this and have the same problem with this board, I'll explain. It's quite simple actually, I first though there was a bug in the bios accepting ram in dual channel but I was wrong. It's a wiring bug, to do with the front panel connectors, hdd led, reset button and 3.0 usb connectors are the culprits. Thankfully the power button works fine! And thanks for your help tradesman, much appreciated.

So what was the fix if I may ask?
