Hey Guys,

Checking out all the benchmarks on the beta of BF4 and quickly realizing that new GPU's are a must.

My PC is still on the high end except it is PCIe 2.0.

I have the new Asus 24" 144hz monitor and was looking to take advantage of the extra frames. I would love GPU recommendations.

1x Asus DCUii GTX 780 - smooth one card graphics but probably not much over 75 fps average
2x Asus DCUii GTX 760 in sli - great setup, cheaper than the 780 with similar performance
2x GTX 770 4gb (brand yet to be chosen, I have a love for Asus, but it seems as though they will not develop a 4gb 770). Badass graphics, but $900.

Am I missing a potential option? Money isn't really a big deal, but i would rather save than spend.

Solution
Here's a thought.

Wait for a non-beta version of the game before you spend hundreds of dollars looking for performance enhancements.

Good call, it's tough to fight the 'bug'. Either way, it is time to upgrade my GPU's. One question I have, and it may receive the same answer.

I think I am going to go the GTX 770 SLI route. In any of your minds, will it make any discernible difference to get the 2gb versions or the 4gb versions? I will be playing on a single 24" 1080p monitor that has the aforementioned 144hz capability.

The only thinkable reason I would go up to the 4gb model is because 3 bg is recommended for BF4 .

Thanks guys.

P.S. I love the avatar Wolfshadw

Hahahaha:

i7 2600k OC'ed to 4.6ghz w/ liquid
16 GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600
Asus P67 Sabertooth (milspec) (pcie 2.0)
120gb Corsair SSD @ 6 gb/s
Currently GPU-less gave the 660ti's to my father

The main points at least. She originally came with GTX 570 in SLI, wicked power hungry which is why I swapped the the 660ti's. The CPU still bench's well, the only real bottleneck is the pci 2.0 which is negligible.

Wish I had n't asked now.
I feel so inferior ;).
As a dyed-in-the-wool AMD fanboi I'll wave the Red flag and suggest either a pair of HD7970 GHz cards or two R9 280's in CF, since your MB can handle CF and SLI, they're cheaper than the GTX770, perform similarly and come with 3Gb of VRAM already.
You sound fairly switched on so I'll not bother you with the pros and cons of either dual card configuration.
Bear in mind the Asus 760's only come with 2Gb of memory, so if you're considering them I'll suggest you look at the 2Gb GTX770 as the top line Nvidia solution, and frankly I don't think your system will miss the extra 1Gb for some time to come.
Ultimately it's your choice, all the options put forward have plenty of merits, it's just up to you to decide which has the most merits for YOU.

Such a diplomatic answer. I normally wouldn't be concerned with 2gb or 4gb of vram, the only thing that had me wondering was BF4 recs. I will be honest, I have not used an ATI card since my dell XPS laptop, and for some reason I have always had a personal bias to nVidia. Same as samsung vs apple users I guess.

I'm going to give it a whole lot of thought, and I think the bet solution for me would be to find the card that hits a nice sweet sport for the wallet as well as the FPS, and then double it! haha

Hey guys,

First off, I hadn't really paid any attention to the new AMD cards. What a fabulous suggestion. The R9 280x (asus directcuii) is an absolute perfect fit for performance, budget, and my asus fetish. and it has 3 gb vram!

Kudos to all the helpful people on here, I will have these babies on the way tomorrow! (provided I can find them in stock anywhere).
