Hi I just purchased a Western Digital 3 TB Red network hard drive and installed it in my network. I know it has to be initialized / formatted before I can use it, however there is 746 Gb of unallocated space on the drive. I tried to extend to healthy part of the drive, but that option is not available (shaded out). Is there another solution to combine that unallocated space with the healthy partition or should I delete the healthy partition and try starting all over again ?

Never mind. After reading further I solved my own problem. I found the drive had to be converted to Gpt for drives over 2 Tb. Done and now I have the full allowable space at my disposal
