Computer turns on briefly and then shuts down.

So my new computer is having some issues. I mounted everything just fine and wired everything as it should be. What happens when I turn it on is that everything turns on, all fans spinning and all, then it turns off. Approximately after six seconds, every time.
The first thing that struck me is that my PSU might not be sufficient, but I really thought it should be.
CPU : Intel i5 4670k.
GPU : EVGA GeForce 770 Classified 4gb
MB : Asus Sabretooth Z87
RAM : Kingston 1600MHz 2x4gb
PSU : Corsair RM850
Cooling : H100i with 2x120mm fans + 3x120mm fans + 1x140mm fan
HDD: 1x Seagate Barracuda 2tb
SSD : 1x Kingston SSDNOW 120gb

I don't think the PSU should be the issue though... any thoughts?

Solution
Most likely not. Thought it had started and stopped the entire night, since you said "it started and stopped over and over in this period".

If it did it only a few times, it put some stress on the components but nothing critical. That's a good PSU (I think, never saw reviews for the RM series), so it probably handled the load just fine.

Well, the issue was that it didn't run long enough for the BIOS to show up. Anyway, I sorted it out. I stayed up really late last night trying to get everything right and misplaced one of the top panel USB headers for my CM Storm Trooper. Must have shorted something out or perhaps closed some gates that shouldn't be. I assume the damage isn't permanent since it started and stopped over and over in this period, and is now running smoothly :)

I didn't let it restart over and over though. When I noticed it turned off after six seconds and tried to start over I turned it off and disconnected the PSU. Do you think it could have caused any permanent damage? :S

Alright :)
Yeah, incase it sounded like it had been on and off the entire night, that is definitely not what I meant. (Quick edit, NOT what I meant)
I tried to turn it on once everything was mounted and wired, and it ran for about six seconds before turning off. After about two seconds it started again and I realized something was wrong and turned it off again. It might have happened five times in total while I was trying to figure out what was wrong. Right after I made this thread I stripped my computer down to CPU, MB and fans. It worked, so I added more and more to see what was the cause, and this time around I noticed that I had messed up the positioning of the CM Storm Trooper's top panel USB header.

Time to set a new benchmark in my personal gaming record :)

Good luck.

And I meant I thought you had left it in that power-on and power-off cycle for the entire night, even if it was every 10 seconds that'd be 6 per minute, 360 per hour, you see where it's going. That would've almost definitely caused permanent damage.

Also, be sure to check in BIOS the RAM settings. RAM is by default clocked at 1333MHz, since yours is 1600Mhz you need to set it to that value.

Oh, in my BIOS it said it was already 1600Mhz.
Do you have Skype or something that I can add you on just to talk? Nothing major, just nice to have someone to consult when setting up a new computer :)
