Aloha!

I know there are other threads on this matter, but my situation is a bit different - I have a Bitfenix Prodigy case so size really does matter.

I don't really have a preference between AMD or GB since I had problems with both in the past :), I just want the upgrade to be significant. My budget would be ~400Euros. Any recommendations are welcomed!

400 euro? Isn't that like $500??? That can get you a top 5 GPU haha. I'd say get a 770 because the new 290 will be too expensive for that budget. Same with the 780. I don't know any UK vendors, but unless you want an SLI or Dual graphic setup, this is the most powerful single GPU within budget.
