Hello, I came across this article: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Which-is-The-Best-Position-for-a-Tower-CPU-Cooler/1815/4 and began wondering if my setup was optimal. The article claims that having the cooler pulling in air from the bottom of the case towards the top provides better thermals.
The above is my current setup. Notice though, my case doesn't have vents along the top. Is my configuration optimal?
On the other hand this Tom's article says that while this works it actually better to have the tower cooler vertical, blow air out towards to the exhaust and not the psu...http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cooling-airflow-heatsink,3053-6.html
What are your recommendations?
