Guys, I'm having trouble running some games. Most of the games aren't running as smooth as it should be. My Battlefield 3 runs smoother on Ultra than it does on lower qualities (at a resolution of 13366 x 768), it should be running fine with my rig, but I'm having some constant framerate drops. The same thing happens on Battlefield 4, I get the same performance on low preset as I do on Ultra preset, which is 20 FPS or less. (and sometimes my framerates are even more stable on Ultra than it is on Low preset) I can't understand what is happening, I've never seen a problem like this one before. Usually in all games when I lower the quality settings it actually makes the performance worse. I don't know if it is a problem with a CPU bottlenecking my GPU or something, I wish you guys could help me out with this one.
My rig:
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 850 (Stock)
RAM: 4GB DDR3 1333 MHz
PSU: Seasonic 430W 80 Plus Bronze
MOBO: Gigabyte M68MT-S2P

Battlefield 3 is notoriously CPU dependant. I would recommend overclocking your Phenom II X4. If that doesn't work, it may be time to upgrade. However, before you overclock your CPU, get a good cooler for it because the stock cooler doesn't really lend itself to overclocking. I recommend this one, it's cheap ($17), I used it on my Phenom II X4 940, 965 and now I use it on my FX-8350. It's a phenomenal air cooler:

Add a second 80mm fan to it for $2.49 (the cooler comes with a bracket for a second fan) and you're set!

Also, add some more RAM. The Battlefield series of games likes at least 8GB.
