GTA sa EXTREME lag

Hello! My PC is getting repaired and it will take a while. While it is on repair I am playing on this laptop that I have been playing on before with no problems. Now suddenly just when I started GTA it was getting EXTREME LAG, I mean like 1 - 2 FPS and after a minute it was maybe 0,5 FPS, it was sick. It has runned okay before with some small lag. I have defraged the harddrive, updated the grapichs drivers and have all the settings on LOW, and now that the new update is up I really want to play.
Please help me!

Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
RAM: 1x 4 GB
Grapichs card: Intel® HD Graphics Family

I did check for background programs in the Task Manager but I didn't find any and still I have this major lag issue

Please check the temperatures. If the heatsink has become to dirty, the system may be throttling.

Check it while gaming too.

Okay, i'm going to test it now. But I can play League of Legends with only some small lag a whole game (about 30 mins) but what is the normal temperature?

And I forgot to tell you that when I am in the menu in GTA SA it lags very much too

It came up to about 50 - 60, It's a fresh install of GTA SA, I havent modded or done anything. I dont know why it's lagging

well, temps do not look bad.

Any chance you have anything else using the video card.

Your video card is in the cpu, so its temps will be similar(or at least should be).

You can however use GPU-Z to monitor even more aspects(the sensors tab) of the video card.

In display settings, what is visual FX quality ?

Lag in San Andreas happens due to Visual FX quality mainly. turn that to Low.

If Anti-Aliasing is there, turn that off.

It's on low, everything is on low as it can. It lags in the menu too, should it really do that?... very wierd... I have reinstalled it like twice.

I had this issue before i left my pc/laptop for a week not playing it my laptop was getting too hot or you can try and see a gta sa low graphics mod
