I am looking for a new gaming pc. I only don't know jet which graphics card is the best for my situation. Is 4 gb better than 2 gb? And are the extra costs worth it? Want to use my new pc for bf4 and games like that.

Im playing at 1920x1080p with 60Hz
Maybe im going to buy a new screen so i can play on two

Specs:
Intel i7 4770k @3,5GHz
MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
Corsair Vengeance 16 gb ram
Seagate Barracuda 2 TB

More about : msi gtx 770 2gb 4gb

The 2gb is all you need for 1080p. Any higher resolution and I'd go with the 4gb.

Also, have you checked out amd's 280x? it has 3gb of vram and for $300 it performs better than a stock 770.

So can I better take a 280x or a 770?
I saw the 280x is the same as the 7970 but than more expensive, but is that right?

A stock 280X is just 2% worse than a stock 770 (nothing a OC can fix) and is 120$~ cheaper.
The 280X intends to replace the 7970 and is in fact the same GPU just with new features and is about 8% better.

i'm living in the netherlands and a stock 280x is just $60 cheaper than a stock 770.
Is the 280x still a good choice?

Yes, 60$ isn't worth a 2% performance increase.

Go with the 280x and get the asus DC2 version.

probably the gtx 770 is going to be cheaper than it is now.
I think i'll wait until they lower the price and then decide which one I take.

What do you think of this set up?
i7 4770k
r9 280x or gtx 770
MSI Z87-G45
Cooler Master CM 690 II advanced
CoolerMaster Silent Pro M2 1000W
Corsair Vengeance 16 GB RAM
Seagate Barracuda 2 TB
Kingston SSDNow V300 60 GB
Windows 7 home premium

Well you don't really need the i7 if your gaming (an i5 will perfrom almost the same at $100 less). Also, you really don't need a 1000 watt psu, 800-850 would be plenty.

I see the Club 3D Radeon HD 7970 royalAce is $60 cheaper than the r9 280x
Those cards are in benchmarks the same. Can't i better buy a Club 3D Radeon HD 7970 royalAce instead of a Asus DC2 R9 280X?

Sure, I don't see why not. Plus, I'm pretty sure the 7970 comes with three games which is a steal.
