I have a dell inspiron 620s desktop as a media computer under my TV. I press the power button to turn it on, like I always do, but my TV gives no response, it continues to say no signal. I have a VGA cable running directly to my TV and I know that everything is set up right, it worked fine two days ago. The light on my mouse does not go on like it normally does and my receiver gets no audio input (I have it hooked up to my PC via HDMI). I did get it to show the BIOS loading screen just once, but it hung there for several minutes until I held the power button to try again. I'm guessing the problem is hardware related, but I'm still clueless. It could probably be a plethora of things.

Things I have tried:
-Unplugging everything from the computer except the keyboard, mouse, VGA cable to the TV, and the power supply.
-Unplugging everything except the power supply and plugging in the VGA cable after turning it on.
-Switching the desktop out with my laptop. Everything worked correctly. This isolates that the problem is related to the computer.
-Holding the power button for several minutes.
-Taking out the coin-cell battery for an hour and putting it back in.
-Taking out the internal memory cards and putting them back in.
-Unplugging the power and data cords from the internal hard drive and putting them back in.

I am not sure what to do or what the problem is.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

Solution
if there no video anymore on the screen try a new power supply first. if the motherboard still post and hangs unplug the hard drive.

I'm confused at what you are suggesting. Currently I have everything back in place inside the PC. So you want me to start it up with only the power supply plugged in? (I mentioned I already tried that) Or are you saying to start the PC with the hard drive power cable unplugged. Could you please clarify this? Thanks.
