Take a look at this picture of my graphics card chip. It recently started messing up and I get screen artifacts so intense I can't even boot windows. Screen freezes then turns black. Was this my problem the whole time?

What you're seeing in Arctic Silver 5 on the chip of my GTX 780 that was pressed down by the aftermarket Waterblock I installed. Clearly running off the edges.

No way to tell the extent of damage until you clean ALL of the goo out, and try it.

Yes I clearly put way too much on. As for instructions ...

I blame EK .. I "lightly did a cross method not even as big as they suggested, and not too bunk the title of the thread, but if I remember right I used the EK-TIM supplied with the Waterblock. Not AS5. It's supposed to be non-conductive.

My question is, was this the reason my graphics card is crapping out on me? Is it damaged permanently?
