I am building my first rig and i'm planning on buying http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... for my motherboard.

on the other hand, im having trouble if my motherboard can support 4 4gb ram or 2 8gb ram would be best.

Thanks you.

They can support either setups.

Both mother boards are dual channel so there won't be much of a performance increase if you go with the 4x 4gb

I would like to ask , do u plan to increase your RAM further in future ??
If not, I would like to say that 4X4GB will fit you well ~
If yes, just get a 2X8GB RAM for your setup ~

Best performance will come from 2x8GB, right off the bat it's less stress on the MC (memory controller) secondly there will be a slight increase performance wise, as it only runs through two lanes or traces instead of 4
