Ram overclocking with non BE X6?

I have a phenom II x6 1055t which is a non Black edition cpu, and must overclock by the fsb which messes with the base ram freq. So with my current overclock my ram is at 1450mhz and bus at 265. Ram is kingston hyperx blue 1600 2x4gb cl9 9-9-9-24 1T at 3:8 fsb:dram, and 708mhz. Was just wondering if lowering the cas would help at the lower speed? saw an article that 1333 c7 is faster than c9 1600. Or if it'd be a good idea to attempt going to the next clock setting from the 1400ish to around 1700ish or would that cause instability with the cpu overclock? Also have a gskill ram cooler, only got to add some more lights but obviously serves for cooling. Not sure of voltage atm will get back with an update

Solution
Hi,

RAM Freq. and timings are directly related and both effect performance, however some programs prefer higher freq. whilst others will benefit from tighter timings.
Certainly lowering your RAM timings or increasing the frequency will improve performance in general but with both you'll have to make sure your system remains stable.
Up to you which you choose (Freq. increase or tighter timings) there are plenty of articles out there that explore the relationship between freq/timings so perhaps have a look at some.
