I have recently got a monitor for my laptop and play a game fullscreen on it, yet i fulscreen it since then i can choose(ingame) to not play at my native res(1920x1080) instead since my laptop just can't handle such a HUGE res! But is there a way to move my mouse from my monitor to my laptop screen so I can browse web/ skype do other stuff WHILE I'm playing? going out of fullscreen is a HUGE pain in the *** cuz it glitches my screen and flashes and nearly gives me a headache for like 8 secs!!! Please help me...

EDIT: also can i choose which screen my taskbar is on???

Solution
Only way I can think of is to drop the resolution of the screen in Windows before launching the game.

Some MMO games do have scaling options.

With games in full screen and gpu scaling active you should have less flashing, but anything running on the other screen may or may not pause.

This is why fake full screen works so well on multi monitor systems because as far as the systems is concerned it is a window and programs on the other screen keep on running.
Enabling GPU scaling may reduce the flashing when switching from full screen and out.

Now for full screen sort of.

For most games you want "fake" full screen or boarderless window or maximized window depending on the game. This will also prevent the second screen from freezing when you are gaming.

Here comes the problem. fake full screen modes tend to have to be at the desktop resolution. The only workaround for this is to lower the windows resolution of that screen before playing the game.

As for the taskbar, whatever screen is set as primary in Windows will get the task bar by default.

Thanks again! If I make the screen res the same as I want it ingame then there's no flashing thanks! But for the real question I wanted to know is can I be able to move my mouse pointer off the fullscreen game and then onto other my laptop screen(my secondary monitor) EDIT: Such as software / simple hacks ? If not, how would I launch the game in fake fullscreen mode? FYI: I have Win7 Home Premium 64-bit with an ok Intel integrated graphics card...

Some games have it in the options and Source engine based games can have -sw -noborder added as a launch option in steam.

They do have third party software that can make a windowed game run in fake full screen, but they can be hit or miss. I have used GameCompanion(and older version) and it seemed to work ok. You add your games to it(it was a text file when I last used it) and set the games to run in a window(you will see the game start and then the boarder will just disappear.).

As for getting from the game out to your other programs. generally you just alt + tab or hit the start button on the keyboard to free the mouse from the game.
