Keeping this short for now since I'm guessing it won't.
I'm trying to run a secondary monitor off of the 4650 and my main on the 7850. Any way of making this work?

Quick specs.
Win 7 ult
both in pciex16 slots
700w ps
latest drivers.

The 4650 has wddm 1.1 next to it in the device manager and the 7850 doesn't. I'm thinking this is part of the problem.

Thanks in advance, ask if you need more info on my specs/drivers/etc.

EDIT: Oh and the reason. I want to have videos playing on the secondary while I game on the primary. If I do it on the 7850 only, it overheats and causes a halt and forced restart.

Solution
No this will not work. The best answer is better case or gpu cooling... You need to figure out why it is overheating l would blow out the dust add case fans ect.

That's what I figured. Its a brand new card so no dust. Open air configuration.
It's a powercolor 7850hd pcs+. Though I have been happily using this brand for years, this card is just not cutting the mustard.
The over heating only occurs when I'm playing videos on the one monitor, and games on the other at the same time. It's being returned for a replacement. I'll see how that goes but I'll probably be switching to someone other then powercolor for my next card.

Thanks thently.
