Old system upgrade; CPU cooler in limited space

This is the first time I've had to mess with this. I have a MSI P35 Neo2 FR that's getting a better CPU, X3219 2.13 ghz going out in for a Core 2 quad 3 ghz Q9650. The current CPU has the fan that was supplied with it. I'm not going to be doing any overclocking or anything, but I figure carrying over that stock fan is a bad idea. The case its in is old and not terribly big. With the PSU right above the CPU. I have about 10cm square maximum, with about 15cm vertical. I guess I need something better than stock that fits into a space not very much larger than stock.

I'm looking at these two, with a lot of guessing:

While looking for an image to post of my MOBO, I came across a TH article on overclocking with my board. It showed it with the Zalman CNPS9700 cooler installed:

If the 110mm will fit for an overclock (tho case unknown), the 92mm should do fine. Think I have a winner, order it and see...

    Thanks for the help.
