Ecs are really poorly built, I really would recommend staying away from them. The best solution for a motherboard replacement or upgrade for an lga 775 is http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/ite... This motherboard is by far the best you can get for lga 775 that are still being produced. For one gigabyte motherboards are built to last, this motherboard has all solid caps, and also you would be able to upgrade to say 8gigs of ddr3 when you buy the motherboard. I personally own two that I used to upgrade core 2 duo workstation computers in the past for my self and my clients that I consult for. Don't go for bling bling when it comes to just needing basic things on a motherboard just get a simple well built motherboard not something like ecs which says gaming motherboards ect... When really they are the biggest pieces of crap.
