Hi everyone,
I'm looking to upgrade my monitor. I currently use a 27" Samsung (which I am very happy with) but I am sort of using it as a TV and screen for my consoles, and I'm finding it a touch small. I'm looking to upgrade to something larger, but want to do so in a way that is a) in line with my budget and b) in-line with what my system can handle. I am running a GTX 770 and an i7 2600k, so:

1) If I was to go to a 32" or 37" set up, is my system going to struggle to maintain performance?
2) Are there any truly excellent recommendations (value for money: price/performance) for either 32" or 37" that people can suggest?

Thanks in advance.

Ralph

Check this link and see which one you like best (look it up on an aud retailer if you find one). Also, their should not be any pitfalls to be worried about (I've gamed on 60" screen before with no problems and that was on a laptop!).

I really don't even know. I currently run at 1920x1080. Hadn't really considered going higher due to current limitations with my system (the GTX 770 is a future upgrade, which as we earlier discussed is looking to be a R9 280x)

Ok. Well to answer your first question no, your system will not struggle using a 1080p 32-37 screen. However, you'd probably be better off getting a TV as a monitor because at that size, a monitor will be ridiculously expensive.

Also, you might want to check into getting a 1440p display when you get one of those new gpu's. You will be amazed at the difference between 1080p!

Btw - Here's a link to an extremely good deal on a 1440p display.

Thanks for that- yes, I should have been clearer. I'm imagining that the next step for me would be a T.V.

Would any decent quality/brand, $600ish (AUD) TV be fine? Any pitfalls I should be aware of? Recommended models?

(and thanks for that suggestion, but definitely keen to get something larger than 27")
