Recently the new AMD R9 series has been launched, and the price for AMD R9 270X is close to an AMD Radeon 7950. Will the AMD R9 270X have enough power to replace the AMD Radeon 7950?

The R9 270x is not made with AMD's new architecture, it basically IS a 7950 with a different name. The only GPUs coming out using the new architecture are the R9 290X/290 and the R7 260X. Everything else is just a rebrand of the 7000 series: R9 280X is 7970 rebrand, R9 270X is 7950 rebrand

Edit: Sorry, it is NOT a 7950 rebrand. Even worse, it's a 7870. The 7950 is considerably more powerful

Well that's just not true at all. The 270X is very close to 7950 in performance, sometimes slower and sometimes faster - Depending on the game. It certainly is not "another" 7870 I can tell you that much.

Please do at least take the time to read the article I linked. A 7870 with higher core and memory clocks is EXACTLY what the R9 270X is. It is the same Pitcairn GPU from the 7800 series. There is nothing new about it. The 7950 is better.

It's a revamped 7870, not a 1:1 copy and no the 7950 is not better.

I'm guessing you actually spent your money on one?

7950 wins in all those benchmarks.Overclocking the same exact hardware is not a revamp.
Clearly, the OP isn't coming back so I'm done

considering a 1100MHz 7870 only scores 5773 in Firestrike and a stock 850/925MHz 7950 scores 6410, or 7600 @ 1000MHz or 8900 @ 1200MHz (the new R9 290x only scores 9500), and the 7950 beats it in all games, even at 850/925MHz, I don't see how the 270X can be considered better because at best it's the same as an o/c 7870 (1100MHz), and some are only clocked at 1050MHz.
