my sims 2 m&h wont install on my laptop

i dont know why but my sims 2 H&M wont install on my laptop it starts downloading then it stops at it says a problem occurred when trying to transfer the file 'E:\TSBin\TS2UPD6D.exe' from the media. then it says do you want to retry to copy the file, or cancel the installation so i put retry, but it keeps on bringing the same message up. what should it do

I have cleaned it with there proper disc cleaner and it worked a bit then but it only goes up to 81% then the message comes up again so I think it is my disc so ill have to buy another one thanks anyway guys
