Games on same HDD as OS?

Currently I have my OS and Battlefield 3 on a 128GB Samsung SSD, I want to get a few more games so was thinking of getting another SSD and doing the following:

Existing 128GB SSD = Windows + Video Editing software + Misc Windows Apps
New 256GB SSD = Games

So my question is will games run as quick on a separate HDD to the OS or do they need to be on the same HDD as the OS?

If the games will be happy on a separate drive that means I won't have to migrate Windows to the larger drive :-)

    Yes; that setup will work.

On a side note: a SSD is not a HDD. Just so you know to not confuse the two.

  4. I would grab the Pro instead: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B009LI7CTY/?tag=pcp0f-21

It uses MLC, which is older than the TLC in EVO, but it is faster and generally lasts longer in terms of lifespan.
