I have a older sony PCG-7V2L laptop, the one with 1.6ghz cpu, 500gb hard drive, and 1gb memory. It is so slow even after a complete drive wipe and windows reinstall. And the memory even when just idling in desktop is almost always over 50% usage. I have been having trouble finding information on this laptop and I have never opened up a laptop before.
So my questions are: What type of ram should I get to match this computer? How much ram should I get? How much will it support? What voltage ram does it need? And how exactly do I get access to the ram ports in a laptop?
I just want it fast enough to use for school work, no gaming.
