hey all. i just got one of each for a sli setup. my question is can i flash the ftw bios to the sc? stock clocks on both are the same. all that seems different is the acx cooler on both are different and the ftw has dual bios. the bios revision on the ftw ends in .60 and on the sc it's .62. so would flashing the .60 to the sc's .62 be a bad idea?

Solution
If they are at the same clocks why even worry about flashing a new BIOS since it can turn the card into a brick, it is not going to make them perform any better in SLI.

Well that is a good point lol. The reason is because ive noticed the main card (the ftw) boosts to 1215mhz, but the slave (the sc) stays at 1085. I had 2 660tis and the both ran at the same clocks in Sli. Even if i adjust it in precision x, the clocks dont match when on load. I mean i think since its not the main card i can always flash back, as i modded the sc's bios to match the ftw's (i set the stock core at 1110mhz and the memory at 3275mhz) before and it would not recognize it until i flashed back to stock ( so only saw the ftw in nvidia control panel and in device manager, not the sc, but it was visible in gpu-z). So all im wondering is if it would probably just soft brick to flash the ftw bios and not to bother, or if it would probably work. Just to keep things all the same pretty much.

Well i just remodded both seperate bioses to be an exact match to one another and so far its a definate success. matching clocks for core and mem with a slight stock clock (1110) and mem clock (3250) and both run at the same speeds when on load. Before the mod i was scoring 2938 on unigine valley maxed out on 1920x1080. Now its 3021. So i guess its a very slight but successful boost. Nothing like playing crysis 3 on max settings including 8x msaa and not getting below 40fps :)
