Hi everybody.

Today I come here because I have some doubts about problem that I had with my computer. My power supply exploded about 1 month ago and I was finding answers about the causes of this problem, but only I found hypothesis by my way. Maybe the power supply wasn't powerfull for the requirements of my PC and them exploded, perhaps in my house was having a short circuit. But that isn't the problem now. My doubts are if any of my computer's components are damage and them when I will connecting my new PSU this explode again...

When my old PSU exploded I smell that the PSU was the only component that smell like smoke, but I don't know if any of my computer's component are damage and this are going to create a new problem...

If you can answer my doubts fast I will be grateful.

In advanced, thanks.

Inspect your motherboard and GPU for any signs of bulging capacitors but really it is most likely the PSU had internal failure since it had built in protections to prevent external causes damaging it and it should have shut down in that case.
