Hi, I'm wondering if there is actually a difference in these two CPU's. I want to know because on the system requirement for Watch Dogs, they say that the recommended CPU is an i7 3770k and I was wondering whether it would be better to upgrade.

Solution
The recommended CPU of a 3770k is more like a 3570k, hyper threading on games doesn't really do anything.

If your wondering: i5 4670k has all SATA 6gb/s ports (good for SSDs) on the intel controller, and also generally runs hotter, however is 10% faster (more in some cases, less in some cases).

The i7 3770k has 2 SATA 6gb/s on the intel controller, generally runs cooler, and has hyper threading: which is optimized for video editors, hardcore photo editors, etc.

Basically:

If you game: go with a 4670k.
Video editing, photoshop, and gaming? 3770k.

Thanks a lot, I'll be using the computer for gaming and browsing the web only so I think I'll stick with the i5.

That's what I would recommend than, the i5.

Have a i5 3570k from last year around this time, preforming like a champ: expecting Haswell to be better.
