Just built myself another PC but I'm having a problem I've never had before. Installing Windows 7 on this is being a pain.

Specs:
Msi 760gm - e51
AMD phenom II x4 960t
EVGA GTX550ti
Wd 500gb HDD 7200rpm
Kingston hyper x 4gb

Basically one problem is that I can't select the boot sequence, I can't even access bios, when I load the PC it shows the mobo pic, then cuts straight to BOOTMGR IS MISSING PRESS CTRL ALT DELETE......

Weather or not this is good or bad, the only way I can get past this is by removing the sata cable from the HDD, then it says loading windows files then plug it back in.

Before today, I used to get as far as choosing the device of which it says I cannot select my HDD because it's not selected in bios (it did appear in the list tho, however I can't access bios to change at setting)

Using the same method I now get to load windows 7 install, select languages ect click next but then it says load driver, and no matter what I do nothing happens, I put my mobo driver CD in, ni driver found, win7 install CD in and again no drivers.

Any ideas?
Thanks!

your hdd might be corrupted or malfunctioning. try it on a different machine(but be careful) and see if it works there. If it does, it must be your mobo which is malfunctioning

The. HDD is fine because I used it on another PC, I was able to remove files from it, add files to it and format it and it still worked fine. The load driver screen is now gone and I'm back to the install location.

"disk 0 partition 1"

"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The computers hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controllers are enabled in the bios menu"

The thing is I've used all these component's with each other before. And I can't select the controller in bios because I can't access bios!
