I'm a little confused seeing as the 3770k with the asrock extreme3 is about $430

But the Haswell 4770k and the extreme 3 is around the same price! around $450

Why is this so? I don't know a lot about motherboards so is the extreme3 just a cheap board? Should i go with the 4770k over the 3770k?

could comeone suggest a better motherboard? My price range for CPU and Mobo is about $450.

Thanks ahead of time!

Yes, it has two PCIe x16 3.0 slots that are well spaced so dual slot cards will fit fine and it overclocks well. The main concern would be to get a good power supply in anticipation of a second card.

I would go Haswell since the Z87 chipset gives you more Intel SATA 6Gbps ports and USB 3.0 ports. That ASRock is a good board at a nice price -- it just is on the lower end of the features scale, but most people don't use many features on their boards anyway unless using multiple video cards.

I'm planning on using the HIS 7950 and want to over clock my CPU and GPU then maybe get another 7950 later when I need the extra power, will the extreme3 be able to handle that?

Also I think the HIS iceQ 7950 is a 2 slot card because its so wide, will 2 of them fit?

Is Haswell really that much better then Ivybridge? is it worth the upgrade do you think? Some people say they run hotter, and i'm hesitant about liquid cooling which seems like the only way to keep it cool.
