Hey mates :)

I know that the more VRAM, the better support for higher resolution, and therefore better for multiple screens layout.
So the GTX780 is stronger, though has less VRAM.
Would you suggest the 770 4GB or 780 3GB for multiple screens?

And regarding the cooling system, would you suggest a fan that is blowing the air outside of
the case, or keeps the air inside?
I am using the Fractal Design R4 which doesn't have the best cooling structure.

GTX 770
Blow out fan - EVGA GTX 770 Classified 4GB
or
Regular fans - EVGA GTX 770 Classified ACX Cooler 4GB

VS.

GTX 780
Blow out fan - EVGA GTX 780 SuperClocked 3GB
or
Regular fans - EVGA GTX 780 Dual FTW ACX Cooler 3GB

Thank you,
Omga4000 :)

Solution
Consider this...

The GTX760 4Gb solution stomps all over the BRILLIANT GTX 780 in terms of performance (and memory availability in HEAVILY modded software like Skyrim and the like).

And, by the time the GTX760 is no longer relavant, you can sell and get a next gen card like the GTX 780 is now, but perhaps more so?

Its "Swings and roundabouts"; neither is neccesarily better or worse.

Graphics cards do what they do, and the GTX 760`s SLi beats every GTX 780 and Titan out there for the price of a GTX 780.

Thats the DATA, not Opinion.

Hey mate :)
Getting 2 760's would be great, though i'd have to change my PSU as well, which then comes to the price of just getting 1 780.
I have the SeaSonic X-660W, and 2 760's require a minimum of 700W.
Also, not every game "enjoys" the benefits of an SLI/CrossFire and that could be a problem for me..
Not to mention that problems do occur when it comes to the SLI/CrossFire drivers..

Thank you :)

Your PSU would do SLI 760, not even cutting it close. SLI is relatively problem free, but I get your concerns.

780 is the obvious choice in your case, VRAM doesn't matter until its filled up, even with 3 screens you wont be filling 3GB.

Well nowadays I'm even considering the R9 290X.
Would wait for the GTX 780Ti before I make my final decision though..
Any opinions?

His Gold Standard PSU would almost certainly be fine if he just has a normal PC set up;
......................I went for a Platinum PSU for long term efficiency and smooth and stable supply to the Z87 Sabertooth M/B and i7 Chip.

As for SLi or Crossifre issues; that is a False Flag argument these days, ESPECIALLY if you have a decent M/B rig and monitor.

I have never seen ANY issue to do with Crossfire except for one game *RAGE* and all I have to do is spend four seconds pressing a button that says @DISABLE CROSSFIRE@ or SLi.

Simples.

Battlefield 4 runs BRILLIANT in Crossfire/SLi so does old games like HALF-LIFE 2, Quake 4, PREY, Deus Ex, Medeival 2 Gold Bioshock, Hitman Blood Money, Fallout 3 G.O.T.Y. etcetera etcetera, and I have run more great online Steam games with Mods, with no problem *such as SKYRIM Ledgendary.

Seriously; the Crossfire/SLi issue is a load of old cobblers.

Just run any RARE game that only works well on the single card only, if its not coded for the hundreds of thousands of customers *If not Millions* of gamers who have Crossfire/SLi setups,

And
*REMIND YOURSELF*

ALL GAME CODERS KNOW MORE AND MORE AND MORE PEOPLE WILL HAVE CROSSFIRE/SLi RIGS IN THE FUTURE.

So; you can be pretty confident that games will run nice for the foreseeable future *i.e 5-10 years.

I am waiting for the GTX 780 Ti, I have the cash for the GTX 780 or two Windforce GTX 760 4Gb OC cards, waiting and burning a hole in my pocket.

For my monitor Stereoscopic 3D, I dont think the R9 290X caters to that; unless they fgured a way for it to work at 60Hz x 2 via the HDMI 2.0 the card has.

My full system setup:
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.6GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte B75M-D3H
PSU: SeaSonic X-660W

Would this system hold a 2-way SLI of the 760 4GB?

The GTX 780Ti is pretty much guaranteed to drop the price of the GTX 780.
So depend on the GTX 780Ti, it might be better to get the 780 or the 780Ti itself.
We'll have to wait and see.

I would get another GTX 660Ti and run it in SLi until I could afford to replace my whole rig in 3 years.

It would still kick the crap out of a PS4 or X-One during that time.
