Is an SSD really worth it?

The only reason why I would use an SSD is for faster startup times. I can't afford a very large SSD; just large enough to install windows 7 on. Is there a significant change in startup times if I use an SSD? Significant enough to buy one? thx

Worth it is user determent but I would not do unless you can get at least 120-128GB drive so you can install more than just the OS like apps and maybe favorite game.
