Hello,

i want to buy the new Sapphire R9 280X from Sapphire and i'm worried that my Corsair CX600 won't be enough. It's a decent PSU and when buying i tought i could have any gpu but sapphire says that i would need at least 750w.. I still think the CX600 should be enough, right?

The requirements that Sapphire has for their R9-280X are very wrong, your CX600 should run it just fine.

Thanks. I tought so because 280X is based on 7970 which can run fine with even a higher quality 500w psu.

Exactly. The R9-280X Toxic however does require a slightly higher wattage PSU (http://www.anandtech.com/show/7406/the-sapphire-r9-280x...)
