I have a seagate momentus 7200.4 320GB device that was given to me by someone. I have 2 cords that connect to the CN1 and CN2 ports on the device but I don't know how to connect it to my computer! I am very unsaavy with technology like this so the better you can break it down the better it will help. Thanks!

Can you elaborate so we can help you? Is your computer a laptop or a desktop? What are you trying to achieve with this hard dribve?
If it is a desktop, you need to first mount the device into the hard drive bay of your pc case with screws. You may need a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter, which while not 100% necessary, will keep the hdd from sliding around when you move your pc. Then you need a sata cable. Connect one end of the sata cable to your hard drive and the other to the sata port on your motherboard. Consult your motherboard manual if you have trouble finding it. Next you need a free sata power cable from your power supply unit, the little box into which you plug in your power cable(s). You need to plug into the hard drive. And that's it!
If it is a laptop, it's likely that you will have to replace your current laptop hard drive on which your windows is installed. This would result in you losing your current installation of windows and having to perform a fresh installation of windows, which would erase all existing data on the new disk. If this is what you want to do, you can always restore your current windows install by putting the original hard drive back. You need to find the hard drive bay by flipping the laptop over and looking for the hard drive symbol on the panels. Once you have found it, undo the screws of the panel, remove it, slide out the hard drive and slide in the new one. And that's it!
Do note that performing this will likely void your warranty. Follow these instructions at your own risk as nothing beats watching a tech savvy person doing it!
