Hey i have a Asus Maximus V Formula MB and i am trying to connect my second 7970 (the 3 slotted one) on the last slot of the mb, now when i try to do this the card wont go into the pci slot because the plugs for front usb, audio and the mbs pins for the switch off and reset buttons are bumping onto the side of the card i unplugged the usb and audio but obviously i cant remove the power switch one, anyone knows a solution to this? I dont know if they sell some sort of adapter to deviate these plugs downward. Thanks!

If it doesn't fit, I dont think there is much you can do. Most early crossfire/SLI motherboards had poor compensation for additional cards, both in ventilation and obstacles.

Two choices:
1) Return extra card and run solo
2) Get a new motherboard (check dimensions/compatability/etc..)

Best of luck!
