I am planning on buying this motherboard for SLI GTX 660s, http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007JRGVUA/ref=gno_cart_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE, is this a good motherboard or is there a better one for the same price or cheaper? (This is at the top end of my budget) Thanks

The Rock is a great mobo, I have a 3570K running in mine at 4.7 w/ a Hyper 212 EVO cooler and 32GB of 2400 Tridents, runs nice and cool as is, idles in low 30's and under heavy load seldom gets upwards of 80

Sorry but I can't go to that price, my current motherboard is an MSI, as is my graphics card and they have had no problems.

When I say poor QC, that's quality control, you never know if the mobo will arrive alive or DOA, there also also lots of failures after say 30-60 days of assorted things like ports going bad (SATA, USB, ethernet), bad DRAM slots etc, I don't build on them but I get get more trouble calls on their mobos, than any other 2 (two) manufacturers put together... so I don't build with them, the last couple builds I did on them back in 2011 ending up costing me money, and haven't seen any improvement...

Would there be any other £80/$120 motherboards which have SLI support and LGA 1155?
As it seems Gigabyte have flatly decided not to support it.
