Recently I bought I new monitor for gaming,

to use alongside my old monitor

Now powering both is my graphics card, the

Side by side, my old monitor seems to have a much clearer, high contrast image with a wider range of values, while my new one seems almost fuzzy by comparison. It also has a slight greenish tint that is clearly noticable with when viewing white pixels.
I don't know if its an issue with the drivers, although I just updated them. Or the monitor, or my GPU. Perhaps I got an iffy model, or if no matter the quality 1920 x 1080 wont look good on 27 inch monitors?
Any and all help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Solution
Go with an asus vn247-p 24" 1080p monitor (I have one and it's amazing!)

Also, select a best solution so the thread is finished.

Sure, but it doesnt explain the issues with imaging my new monitor has.

Also is there any way I can reduce icon and text sizes beyond Window's limitations to make it look better?

I'm sitting roughly two feet from each monitor.

I'm happy with the screens performance with games and videos, its only the skewed screen real estate and tinted coloring that I take issue with. Is it worth returning, or is it a sacrifice I'll make with any monitor its size, give or take two inches?

Is there any way to verify whether its an issue exclusive to my monitor or shared by all of its kind?

I'd personally just return it and get a different model or brand. However, do you have it's drivers completely updated?

Also, if your using a VGA cable make sure it has no bent pins, that could cause strange problems.

Using DVI for both monitors, and yes, my graphics drivers are updated to the latest 327.23 NVIDIA driver.

If I were to return this monitor for a different one, what should I look for in the new model so I don't have these complaints again?
Smaller screen? Higher contrast ratio?

Do you have any more general recommendations, some guidelines for choosing another monitor rather than any specific model.

1. Go with a good brand (dell, asus, acer, benq, etc) 2. Look at all the details, is the contrast good, is the response time good enough for what you will be doing, does it have good warranty? and 3. What are the reviews? definitely spend time to search around forums and review sites so that you can make a confident purchase. There's nothing worse than getting a DOA, cheap screen, or dead pixel so again, spend some time to research and figure out what best fits your needs.
