So, I just finally bought a SSD for my new computer. I just built it like a month or so ago and I was putting off getting a SSD because they've been 100 bucks for a 64g one at frys. But, recently they had the one I wanted go on sale or 90 bucks for a 128 so I just bought it. I have it now completely plugged in and set up with drivers and everything, but I was wondering how I could make it to where my old desktop screen and everything would show from my HDD, and just basically make it look like it used to.

Solution
Boot through the Old HDD change the Boot order from BIOS and you old system will be back unless you messed with some thing use built in with easy transfer Prog>accer>systoos>Easy file transfer make a backup of the current state "old computer option" you can pick and choose also what you want to be transferred then do the same process on the new install and instead of old choose new computer option it will ask you for the backup file and then do the transfer for you.
Good luck

I put a fresh install of the OS on the SSD. Could I at least do a profile transfer and have the old desktop visible even though I am loading off of the old HDD? Like I still have access to all the files I'm just trying to make the profiles match up and have the desktop match up. If not I can simply always just make the shortcuts and everything match up and set it all up manually. At the very least I would like to only use one profile for both hard drives, and I'm not so tech savy with windows 8 yet.
