what wattage psu would i need for the following setup:

cpu: amd athlon x4 750k

500watt is a good ballpark number but really all you need is 430watts http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm
GTX650Ti does not support SLI so no point in getting 2 unless you get the Boost version. Hard to find a board though that supports it.

This is a system you already have? If you have two 650ti boost in SLI you will require a 550 watt power supply.

Ideally you would want a SeaSonic G Series 550W. This will give you enough headroom without wearing out the power supply really quick.

The EVGA 650Ti Boost does. The 650Ti does not. The link I put up would be plenty for the two cards.

I woould like to see the mATX motherboard for AMD FM2 that supports SLI! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131883 I found one with X8 X8 slots but they are omitting SLI support only Crossfire.

Sounds like a good plan.

Keep in mind a 550 watt will power almost any single card system with overclocking except for a system with these graphic cards: 7990/780.

If you want to do future SLI a higher wattage(700-800) will be optimal(possibly higher if you go for the very high-end cards).

The SLI issue is the only thing keeping me from completing this build I might just leave it out and get a fm2+ mobo.

You could always wait till black Friday and get some good deals around then on Newegg or other sites to improve your build.

It's usually better to go with a single GPU for a system only running 1080P anyway.

As for the PCIe slots, it is x16 for a single card, and x8 if you have two cards installed. Did not see any mention of Crossfire or sli. Those mATX boards can get a tad tight doing that anyway.

Coastie65 is correct too, mATX boards will cause temperature differences between cards, one will run up to 10c hotter if really close.

Yep a single stronger card or AM3+ socket with FX CPU would be better suited.
