Can i put dual channel RAM into my triple channel mother board?

I am currently running 6bg of ram in my rig and i want to up grade. However when i have been looking around i have noticed that i cannot find much high-end triple channel ram slots. Therefore this is kinda a double question.

Firstly : Can i put dual channel packs in triple channel slots?

Secondly : Do you know of any high end ram, around 12gb at roughly 2000mhz +, that you would recommend?

Yes, the tri channel mobos will also run in dual channel mode, so that's not a problem
