Mobo says cpu is at around 34-35c idle and i watched it for about 2 mins or so, and coretemp says i am 38-41 idle. I assume i should go by what my mobo says, correct?
Generaly the most trustworthy is software made by the manufacturer like AMD overdrive that shows the CPU temp with a direct reading but other software gets its stats directly from hardware like "Speedfan". Thats one of the best for temps.

to be safe try other software monitors like hwmonitor to see how consistent the temps are but i would trust the mobo
