I've connected all of my components correctly, but once switches on the system doesn't post (no beeps at all) it has no display on my monitor and i tested it on about three different monitors. I think the sound cable is correctly connect to the motherboard and I must have made sure its connected about a billion times. I've tried EVERYTHING, I've removed all RAM and it doesn't give any post sound. I've taken it apart and reconnected everything a few times, I've used the stock CPU cooler and I've connected the bare essentials on top of the box. Could it be a faulty Motherboard or CPU or maybe a faulty PSU? By the way I have cleared the CMOS and nothing happens. Thanks for any help it would be greatly appreciated :)

all this point toward bad M/B test all the components on a different rig could be possible M/B need a bios update for 8320 best will be to use an older model to make it boot up if you or a friend have one sitting on a different rig.
Good luck.

be sure you are using the 8-pin cpu power connector and not the 4-pin as it is not capable of delivering the 125w needed for the cpu,
are you able to get into the BIOS, if so you might want to check the DDR3 frequency, i had major difficulties when i got new 1866mhz ram chips instead of the 1333mhz i had back when i had a FX.4100.

Thanks for both your help, but it turns out that i had one of the early made crosshair v formula motherboards that the bios hadn’t been updated for the FX chips so that’s why it wouldn’t boot. I didn’t have an older cpu to update the bios so i bought a new bios chip and everything is working fine. Many thanks for both of your for your help :)

Hi, you need to update the bios first, although CROSSHAIR V FORMULA support AMD latest Cpu (AMD FX Eight-Core)
**but this is after bios update.

SOLUTION: find another CPU, then update the bios.
once you update the bios you can use your new AMD FX-8320

**CROSSHAIR V FORMULA-Z already comes with the bios updated to support. latest AMD Chips
