I am planning upgrading my PC's processor and graphics card this Christmas and need some help. Basically, I decided it was time to upgrade when I couldn't run Morrowind with a graphics mod or record Minecraft without unbearably low fps. I just want it to be able to run modern games at moderately high settings and record without the frame rate dropping to practically nothing. Here's my current rig:

Prossesor:
Intel Core i7 2600

Graphics:
Nvidia GeForce GT 530

Mothebord:
Pegatron Corporation 2AB5

12 GB Memory

2TB HDD

My Budget is about 300 dollars - 400 MAX.
I've asked other places and was mostly ignored, so please help!

CPU is fine you need to get a new PSU and something like HD7970 or R9 280X. Lets look at the ever changing prices when we get closer.

Agreed, your CPU is solid, no need to upgrade. Your GPU is where the issue is. Besides, to upgrade the CPU would require a new Motherboard as well.

As Rolli said, your best bet is to upgrade your PSU if needed and get a nice powerful GPU.

You could buy this and still be on your budget, so you're sure you won't have any problems with the PSU or the MoBo :)
