Hi this is my first post and basically i have 8 gig of this ram...

8GB Patriot Viper II Sector 5 DDR3 PC3-16000 2000MHz CL9 Dual Channel kit
http://www.memoryc.co.uk/products/description/8GB_Patriot_Viper_II_Sector_5_DDR3_PC3_16000_2000MHz_CL9_Dual_Channel_kit/index.html

and this board...

Asrock Z68 Pro3 Gen3
http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?cat=Download&Model=Z68%20Pro3%20Gen3

My cpu is an i5 3570K NOT overclocked.

My ram is in slots A1 and B1 as stated by the manual.

My problem is that it seems to be running at half its speed.

The bios reads it as 1033 (as it should i think as ddr ram is always half its rated speed because of the double data rate transfer) but Speccy and Cpu-Z show dram frequencies of 532MHz which is surely half of what this ram should run at?

I changed the bios settings to the XMP profile and manually entered the timings that Cpu-Z displayed for that profile but no speed change.
