League of Legends FPS Drops?

Ever since recent patches, I've been getting a lot of fps drops during teamfights and when particular champions use particular skills (for those who play league, particularly J4 ults and zyra snares)

My laptop used to run league low smoothly, does anyone know how i might be able to fix this ? I'm running it on http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAG...

Tried reducing settings to bare minimum, updating driver software, not sure what else I could do :/

Do you have high ping? Could it be a lag issue?

Do you play aram at all? I know the aram map has caused issues with people running on lower end systems. From what I understand, the Howling Abyss map was more graphic intensive than the Summoners Rift. I will look into this and see if others have seen a fps drop.

My ping is stable at 100 constantly. It's just generally the game is stable when all the characters are scattered throughout the map, but when they cluster together (teamfights) and use their abilities in conjunction, it creates fps drop madness, just anything "graphically intense" lately drops it

I would say it is the hardware that is the issue. How recently has this been a problem? Most likely due to Riot trying to 'fancy' the game up.

Uh ever since about 3-4 months ago.

Running on "Intel (HD) Graphics", haven't had a problem before.

Is there a way i can "upgrade" the graphics card or "tune it up"?

Any programs running in the back ground that could be using the CPU?

That's true i do tend to leave skype and chrome on in the background, might be eating cpu, i'll try turning them off

Check task manager while you are playing and have the FPS drop. If you go to the performance tab it will show that your CPU cores and RAM are doing.

Im having the same problem since a week or so. The insteresting thing is: no matter which options i will choose, i will have fps drops to 20-40. Also it only drops when the minions spawn. Before the game starts i have fps about 200. Here is my system from dxdiag: http://pastebin.com/zDv9Tejm. My CPU and GPU temps are ok. I tried everything i know. Deinstall, repair, updated direct x and nvidia driver but nothing seems to help. I hope some1 can help me.

I never use Game Boosters. It just makes my game more laggy for they use up tons of ram than the game.
