SLI 690 vs SLI 780

Hey,
Does SLI 690 outperform SLI 780? This is the current rig it is being put into:

Corsair 750D
Asus X79 Deluxe
Intel 4960x
Corsair H110
64gb Kingston HyperX Beast 2400MHz
Corsair AX1200
Samsung 840 pro 256GB (x2)
Pioneer BD4-SO8XLT
Windows 8

Nope, the third and fourth gpu's in an sli configuration offer varying levels of improvements and often make some games run even worse than a double sli. Also the two gpus in the 780's are much more powerful than the 680 gpu's found in the 690, therefore u are good to go with the 780's.

I can't find a 780 SLI vs 690 SLI, but I do have one with 690 SLI and Titan SLI. An aftermarket 780 with a health OC from the factory is going to be similar if not faster than a Titan, so you can expect similar results as these benchmarks show: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_Titan_SLI/22.html

There are probably games the 690 SLI FPS are higher, but 780 SLI will be more consistent and have much fewer problems.
