Hi I have a chance to trade my GTX 770 2gb for a GTX 690. should I? is the GTX 690 better choice for single card?

I would take that trade in a heartbeat unless there is something wrong with the 690 of course.
It doesn't hurt to check it first and if they seem to be too suspicious about it, then take the safe route and decline.

Its actually a trade plus $220 cash. And he said that the card is about a year old and has been slightly overclocked by 100mhz.
What are the advantages of the gtx 690 over the 770 and also disadvantages as well?

That sounds incredibly sketchy... That's like me coming up to you and saying I'll give you $1000 and an extra $200 for $400, that really doesn't make sense. Do you know this guy?

Not really. I saw his add on craigslist. This is his reason.

Hi Daryl,

I'm looking for trade because the games I play don't give the greatest return on SLI. I'm getting about a 60% Increase by having the second card in the games I play (Arma 3 more like 40%, Call of Duty). I just feel this is a little inefficient and that I would be open to a single gpu configuration and cash for trade. The card is over a year old, purchased either in September or July 2012 (I had two cards, and don't know which is which). It has been slightly overclocked for games, I had it at 100Mhz GPU / 200 Mhz memory, which the gpu speed brings it up to about a standard 680 clock speed. I am the original owner. I let the first card go for cheap, but due to sli scaling, this one is worth much more than that first one, do you know what I mean?
